T5: Optimum operating conditions

it is ideally to change your T5 tube evey 6 month to maintain the color spectum of your T5..

Anyone can advise which is a good wattage to change to?
Currently using Dynamax 20W, If i am not wrong its DYMAX REX-FL LIGHTING My Moss and tenellus to be growing fast , thus i am considering my options to encourage better growth.

Please advise me, don't wish to spend again. as i just changed my tanks to canister.
(I have a problem with my primeminister now for spending $50-150 on accessories )

1: Bring up my other 3ft Sobu lighting, (unknown wattage, ballast also very hot)
2: Buy a T5HO lighting, But that invites more headache.
3: Get a T5HO tube to replace my current one (Hopefully my ballast can handle it)

I have a question that might be out of topic, but i hope guys like BFG can answer me.
QNS: My Sobu lighting, one end is pretty hot when in use. I assume is the ballast, Can i buy a E-Ballast and replace like that?

Not a pro here but you can change a E-Ballast if you know how to do the wirings. From my experience, the difficult part is to find one that suits my casing. Its either too long or to wide and it is good if you can find one that matches closely to the wattage your tubes.

slow grow can be because of many thing. Changing the light may invite more problem like algae. Best if you start new thread asking about the slow grow.
