    Internal Reactor question

    Hi,

Initially my filter's outflow tube went straight to my rainbar. Now I have spilt my filter's outflow tube to the rainbar and an internal reactor.

After 2 days, the black balls in my internal reactor doesn't move anymore. There are three black balls in the internal reactor, which were all moving when I installed it. A few hours later, the bottom ball stopped moving. Now all three balls are not moving.

Is the internal reactor any good if the black balls are not moving? How can I get all three balls to move again?

I'm thinking that maybe the filter is not strong enough for both a rainbar and the internal reactor. I'm using a Eheim 2026 for a three feet tank. Any help on the issue is appreciated.

    Ben

First of all, don't split the output. Filter -> reactor -> rainbar.

It better to place the rain bar lower, across the back of the length of the tank, pointing forward. Then the CO2 enrich water will reach the bottoms of the leaves, and has a higher chance to circulate in the tank before it diffuses out at the water surface.

Better that the 3 balls are moving. Is it because the water level in the reactor is too low, and the top 2 balls are sitting on the 3rd ball? If that is the case, adjust the CO2 rate so that the water level never drops that low.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

    Thanks vinz.

I've connected my filter to my reactor, and then to my rainbar. I'll try this out for a few days and see how it turns out.
