From everything that I've read on the net, that's what I've read as well. I just dropped 2 of them into the 90 gallon with some larger size fish (the Paraguensis are about 1"); want to see how they fare in there.
Eric
the larger guys, unless they are just as nasty, will most likely have their fins nipped.

yup ive had them, and like choy has said they will fin nip any fish that can't stand up against them.

I'm just wondering... Would a bigger school of them make them chase and try to nip one another, like what tiger barbs do... Or are they just natural fin nippers? And the more of them, the more the damage? Heard they will also eat scales and attack eyes... True?

Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...
Not sure, but I don't think they're tough enough for the tank. Lost one over night and the other one is scared to death in the tank.
Eric

Oscars?
Nah, it's a community tank, mostly, consisting of 4 decent size altums (9" vertical for biggest), 7 yellow tail Congos (2.5"), 2 rummynoses (2"), 2 otocinclus (1.5"), 6 bulldog plecos (ranges from 1.5-2.5"), 10 female Endler's livebearers (2.5"), and 1 crowntail betta.
Either the altums or the Congos took out one of them and is scaring the crap out of the other one. The altums have taken out some of the smaller fish in the past, including decent size Congos (originally started out with 18 rummy noses and 12 yellow tail Congos). I also think it's one of them since they both eat smaller fish. I confirmed this yesterday with some feeder guppies. Largest one that went into the tank was about 1.5" and the altums gulped some down while the Congos chased them down and shredded them to pieces.
