Hi, I'm setting up a desktop tank for my workplace, a nano tank...

Are there any plants to recommend that are minimal maintenance?

It's expected to be 25 cm by 18 cm by 18 cm...

    Moss is ok

Is cryptocoryne ok? I'm thinking of wentii 'green'. In addition I do not see many 'small java ferns' on the market (small as in less than 15 cm). Where do I get them?

    Anubias nanas, are they ok?

I only intend to put the red ramshorn snails in the tank during the first month.

Also thinking of shrimp. Where is the place to get the most varieties of shrimp?

    Yeah, Cryptocoryne.

    C. wendtii 'green' is common and easy.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

you can ask around in the marketplace forum for plants and shrimps

java fern perhaps you can try needle or narrow java
can also go for anubias petite

    these are relatively smaller sized

I always like to try a few small cute snails in my small office tank but scare of the snail's population explode

If you really interested in shrimps I suggest trying out maybe cherries first because they are the relative hardy, easy ones compared to the other shrimps. Even so, you still need a cycled tank to increase their survival rate. You can find cherry shrimps relatively easy ; through marketplace thread or pop by those commonly mentioned LFS like NA, Y618...etc

Do find out some of the requirement for the different variety shrimps... else you end up with hei bee (dried shrimp) rojak

I saw the red ramshorn snails in a 'no-signboard' aquarium along kovan / hougang. They also sell monster fishes e.g. metre long plecos. Also thinking of getting zebra nerita snails.

I heard that they breed fast, but I do not mind since my tank is supposed to be a snail / shrimp tank anyway. And I'm not feeding anything, idea is that they are supposed to live off moss, dead/melted crypto leaves and algae.

The no-signboard lfs is the famous Eco culture & cichlid Forever.

Snails will eat all form of soft algaes and leftover food. Dead/melted leaves are best to be siphoned out during WC, never seen them eat dead leaves before.

The metre long pleco is a real monster. I would like one of those in my moat. Hahah.

I've bought a tiny 23 cm nano tank set from carrefour plaza singapura. It comes with a light and filter.

In addition, I noticed that there are cheap multi-plugs for sale there. 5 points for only 15 dollars. Just to let you all know.
