Genoah Tank

Dear all,
I have this Genoah tank. Its the tank which is rather small and very "designer" tank.

i will wish to check if anyone else has this tank and are there anywhere whereby we can change the lights to pure white so that i can grow plant?

I have been wondering if it is able to provide sufficient lights such that the riccia will bubble...hahaha

It's a pl light isn't it? Can't you just change the bulb?

storm, side track a little. I guess you would not want too good a growth of your riccia in that tank because it will cover up your tank in no time. why not consider having moss in that tank? just my 2cent suggestion

just my anothe 2 cents suggestion to add to his 2 cent suggestion as well
imho if the conditions provided are too good, the moss will cover up the tank pretty quickly as well.....

thanks a lot for your advice...think i will be buying several Ku Chin chao to use as the only plant in the tank...

Both Riccia and moss are nice but moss requires cooler temp which is the headache. I am intending to make a riccia only tank using my 2ft tank...

Weel, back to the topic, anyone had actually changed the bulb for genoah tank?

The bulb do come with a little yellow tint.
My guess its doing around 6500K.
Mine is in bronze.
I think 13W for a 5G think should be good enough for most plants.
Mine is nothing more than a moss tank, so cannot confirm if riccia will bubble.
Attached is a pic of the tank when it first started. Quite bright, IMO.

A word of advice that i got from a LFS, get a fan. The tank has a tendency of heating up.
