    Thanks guys,
I got it @ Petmart . I need it to pep up the GH of my tank which seems to be very low. I used Dupla KH/GH Generator previously but found it too expensive .. so for a change why not try Seachem which is affordable.

when the gh is high the plants somehow responds well and absorb co2 readily and photosenthesis is quite rampant yo can try it in your tank and see the results

gh measures dissolved calcium and magnesium, right?
if your kh is enough, wouldn't adding mgs04 increase gh?
maybe you can try adding epsom salt.

Whats the dosage for epsom salts?
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

The KH that we are measuring has nothing to do with GH. KH is just the carbonate/bi-carbonate content or AKA alkalinity. You can add Sodium bi-carbonate to increase KH without altering GH.

GH we measure are bi-valent metal ions which predominantly are Mg2+ and Ca2+.

It is better to add both Ca and Mg. Equilibrium is a good product to use if you have a planted aquarium, cos it contains other minerals like K, Fe and Mn.

I use Seachem Flourish which lacks K and is slightly low in Fe. Equilibrium works nicely with Flourish supplementing K and Fe to keep everything in balance.
