Tiny thread like netting on surface of ricca

hi,

have anyone encounter having a light green tiny thread like netting on top of the ricca... ?? everytime I remove them, they reappear back in a few days..

Initially I thought they were part of the ricca to keep the ricca together but if I leave them alone, they will grow into a thick netting...

Anyone have any idea what it is ?? ( some sort of algae maybe ) and how to get rid of them ???

hey... i got the same problem some time back on my floating riccia.... me too thought it from riccia till I bought yamato shrimp... and the just clean the thread like alien stuff.....

I think they could be the Utricularia species (Bladderwort). Quite sickening to remove. I would throw away the infected Riccia and re-do again.
Maybe also employ Yamato shrimps to help remove them.

if it IS bladderwort
cardina japonica dun do jack against it
you will need to rip them out, and make sure you get every last bit, because they multiply like crazy even with one tiny strand left behind
