Will any plants Grow?

I have a 30 gallon hex.It is 19 inches high.The hood only holds a 15 inch fluorescent bulb T-8.All i could find is a 14 watt day-max coralife bulb.Will i be able to grow just basic java fern or anubias?I would even be willing to buy a new hood but i cant find anything to fit the hexagon opening(about 16 wide)Any ideas?Thanks Eve

As long as the aquarium is lighted, Anubias nana will grow in it. I have a perhaps 15 gallo non-CO2 tank full of anubias that receives ambient lighting from the window and another 2ft tank nearby and they're growing slowly but surely.

For java fern I'm sure they can grow, but I can't give gurantees on this.
