I got from Bioplast also, but they look more like malayan . Now they are getting bigger, not as small as used to be .

Don't seem to be effective in clearing algae.

Where to get black shell shrimp

Guys, heard from some hobbyists that they were keeping black shell shrimps. Was quite unaware of this species till i saw what they had kept. PMed the person but had no reply. Anyone seen this species in Singapore? If so, are they expensive? Expensive in terms of around the same price with purple zebra?

Dawugui, there is another thread asking the same question... So, I merged your query with that. Use the search function next time.

And, nice picture. Did you take it? If not, please state source.

Kadios, care to share your shrimps with us? tell us more about this shrimp, like what temperature you kept with, ph...etc.

Do their color varies like cherry shrimps, in term of water quality...etc?

Heading down to bioplast soon. CO2 running out. Will update with you guys if there are some for sale! Will post pictures too.

By the way, I also have some unidentified shrimp in my tank. They are brown in colour and were labelled as 'green cherry' in y618. They seem to be a slimmer, smaller kind of malayan shrimp.

Saw a few packs of very dark blue shrimps at Colourful over the weekend. You might want to call to enquire if they are what you're looking for.

    Hi

Kindly look at my poor taken picture and comment if it is a black shell shrimp? Thanks!

As you can see the yellow markings on the back and the tail....I bought it as malayan shrimp
I believe black shell shrimp is all black without markings?

Bioplast is out of stock for the time being. No idea when the next shipment would come. They use cherry shrimp for their display tanks now. It seems that they also sell goldfish.
