    Hi

Day 1 of my new simple setup.
9L tank, 11 watts PL, Co2, Inert White Substrate, Rocks, HC, Eden 501.

Intended to create a nice HC scape, and will later introduce CRS shrimps after water is cycled.

hi there, do u intend to dose anything?

my HC iwa. tank just failed miserably. HC are sure weird and fussy fellas compared to glosso.. temperature doesnt seems to affect them much.

anyway good luck to you yay? awaits for more updates! ^^

Richard, he's calling his aquascape Rocky Prarie.

HC are hungry things. Feed insufficiently and they all grow thin, tall and soon, all float up. IMO not an ideal combination with expensive, nitrate-shy shrimps.

Prairie Rocailleuse (french) means "rocky meadow" or something like that.

Equipment on left is my Co2 inverted cylinder. I just filled up with Co2 about twice a day.

Fertilisers so far have been macro (No3 and Po4). A bit scared to doze iron or flourish for the moment.

I am sorry too about the equipment, will see how i can improve on that.

Every week or two i will try to update with a picture. I can say IMHO, tank look better in real than in my pic.

    hi mate,
nice try with small tank, i hope it'll grow well.

as for the rock placement, i'd skew the bigges rock on the left a bit to right.

when hc grow enough the tank will have appereance of much bigger aquarium.
    good luck

    regards V31

i like the substrate colour. Maybe can do without the eden filter and get it replaced with a HOF? the setup have a very peaceful effect but the equipment hovering over it, seems to spoil the overall look. Maybe it's just me, just my 2cent view.
    Overall, nice tank! nice scape
