Hello? AQ got calculator you know... top menu bar, right side!
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

hi. i know they have a calculator. but im not converting litres to gallon. nor am i converting litres to some other units. im just asking the amout of water that a tank contains. i believe no calculator can tell me how many litres of water a tank contains. cheers. thanks for the reply anyway.

Eh... First, it is AQ's Calculator. On the top right corner of the page. Just click on the word 'Calculator' up there.

And it allows you to enter the length, width and height of a tank (in centimeters or inches) and it can calculate for you the volume in litres, gallons(US) and Imperial gallons.

Try it. It is really useful.

frankly I don't see why we need to have a calculator for something even my primary school daughter can figure out, and then having to cajole people into using it.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Errrr... it's only about 250 litres. Full, just water alone.

600 litres is about a 6'x2'x2' tank, and a 4'x2'x2' tank is about 400 litres.

Hmmm... do I detect some hostility?

No offence meant by my previous reply. I simply wanted to point out that the calculator exists. I wouldn't have pointed it out if it cannot answer your question.

Chill, dude. AQ members are generally have good intentions.

Choy, not everyone has a primary school education... or remember what they learnt in primary school.

Bossteck, I'm glad someone appreciates it. Thanks.

bro, you just need to key in your tank specification, i.e. length, width, height, the calculator would then tell you how much water your tank can contain.

a safe estimation of the tank water for 4x1.5x.15 will be 220L as you wont fill water to the brim and there will be at least 2-4 inches of sand.. so working with 220L will be quite safe...
