I would like to know too, but once you get hybridisation (assuming in good faith that the LFS's claim is true), the chances of knowing what the original animals were are gone. As far as taxonomy is concerned, these hybrids are almost worthless. Just enjoy them for what they are and learn about their habits and preferences..
It's not even certain that the animals known as Malayan shrimp (which by most accounts display a large variation in colour) are a single species. Some of the shrimp sold in shops that we think is Yamato (C. multidentata) aren't yamatoes either but related species of Caridinia....
