I feed mine with powdered fry food by Sera and crushed hikari discus pellets..... the frys need soft food at the starting..
I manage to have some of my endlers mating and producing off springs. But i got a question, can i just fed them with those tetra bits? or must i get special food for them? Currently got around 8 baby fish and more coming out as another female endler have a swell belly too.

I just feed whatever I feed the adults...![]()
But I do feed small (tiny) pellets to the adults... and de-capsulated brineshrimp eggs... So, I think the fries get to eat something...

I'm crypt collecting... Starting cheap, now have Cryptocoryne beckettii, C.beckettii var petchii, C.crispatula var.balansae, C.griffithii(Melted!), C.nurii, C.parva, C.pygmaea(Melted!
), C.tonkinensis(Melted!
), C.walkeri, C.wendtii 'Brown', C.wendtii 'Green', C.wendtii 'Green Gecko', C.wendtii 'Tropica' and Cryptocoryne x willisii
Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...
i see. anyway i bought the sera powdered food for those frys.
just quarantine another female endler coz her belly look like a ballon now. should be giving birth pretty soon.
I actually don't see the need to keep the female away... Sometimes it can stress the females. Endlers don't seem to eat their own young... From the large numbers of young I always haev in my tank...![]()

i'm sure the female won't eat them but i got a few endlers in that tank too won't that be a problem? something like a buffet for the other endlers?
I am not sure... But I usually don't care... Their population just keep growing...![]()

hahahaha, ok i see. maybe that's how things usually goes. whenever u take good care of them things might not yield the best result, so try ignoring them u will be surprise by the result it yields.
okiee i shall not touch any other female which got preg again. Anyway those male endlers are horrible keep chasing those females all over the tank.
Well, I am not advocating the 'bo-chap-ness' of fishkeeping...
But sometimes, we should just relax a little and just enjoy the process... Agree?Afterall, this should be what the hobby should be about... Total relaxation... Not more work!

If you don't have egg yolks (boiled), then you can feed them BBS, easiest way is to well crushed the usual flakes, then feed them![]()
If you keep albino strain guppies, then the female must be separated before they eat their own babies...
i think i can attest to justikanz endler method.
man! you have to see the swarm to believe.
just like a school of "kang hee"!!(anchovies for our english speaking friends)

Is it possible to breed endlers in small tanks like 20 cm wide and 30 cm tall types...
the types that C328 keeps its bettas?
I am into Plecos now...
L46, L173, L134 & L236
~~Jeffrey~~
I think I ft tank would be better as the female has more space to avoid being chased by the male and then get to stressed by it...
I'm breeding them in a 1.5ft currently...
