    Its quite difficult to identify moss from a photograph. Maybe you can pass your moss to Loh Kwek Leong of killies.com. He will be able to help you.

    Since it been identified as christmas moss, more likely it is.
    go ahead and introduce to your tank, in couple of weeks time, you be able to tell.

    Java moss does not have lots of branches, at least that what happen with my Java moss . So probably it is X-mass moss

    The laef structure is different to that of regular Java.

    I would also suggest it is under developed Christmas moss or Vesicularia montagnei
