    Hi i'm new here I have a 4ft x 2ftx2ft palnted tank but recently havin problem as the e.ballast is having problem can anyone suggest where is the best place to buy e.ballast and what is the cost? Ok I'm using 1 e.ballast for 2 36w Philip 865 EL light so total will need to replace 2 e. ballast.

    By the way how do I check is my e. ballast if faulty or not?. Thanks.

    can try NA, they do sell e.ballast for 2 *36w type.

    if you are not confident in electrical, wiring can bring along your lightset and get the boss to help you!

    first of all, is it able to power up your light easily or is it taking a while after flicking a few times or even many times before the lights can be turn on?

    secondly, any sound emitting from the balast? the sound can be quite loud and irritating.. something like a loud humming sound or like a motor running.. could be sign of unhealthy balast..

    as suggessted, NA is a good place to bring your light set for a check and repair..
