Hi, I very much want to set up a shrimp tank containing different types of shrimps. Is this possible without having crossbreeding between them? The only way I can think of is having all male shrimps of each type. Not sure if this approach is practical. BTW, can anyone advise how to tell a male from a female for different types of shrimps (cherry, CRS, Bee , tiger & etc). Thanks.
Cheers,
U.K.Lau

Yes. You can inhibit breeding by raising the PH. This can be done by adding coral chips to the filter so that the KH is raised.

uklau, maybe you can refer to this chart: http://www.garnelenforum.de/ftopic1538.html
0= no, X= yes, X= supposed.

bro actually crossbreeding may not be such a bad thing. You never know what new breed may come out of it.
