There's an English version available at http://mikes-machine.mine.nu/breeding_yamato.htm

Hi guys,
Was surfing Norbert Sabat's site at www.aquadesign.pl and discovered that AQ was one of the Singapore links there, together with www.victri.net and www.arofanatics.com.
But more interestingly, there is a Polish article on succcessful shrimip breeding!
Lots of great pictures too. Too bad I can't read Polish. Anyone knows of any online translators with Polish to English feature?
Anyway, here's the direct link to the article.

I wonder if this works with woodshrimp as well...

No lah... read about it but really no motivation to try. I tried apistos before and it is not my cup of tea. Cherry Shrimps and Swordtails are easier for me.Originally Posted by andrewtyr

Hi i am interested to know the condition to breed yamato shrimp? Please advise.

Here is a good link to site that describes the breeding of Yamato shrimp [Caridina japonica] by Mike Noren.

Hi,
I noticed my yamato shrimps are carrying eggs regularly but i do not notice any shrimplets.Find this a pity and i would like to start trying to breed them.
I read somewhere that yamatos are not easy to breed but i would like to find out if anyone here has sucessfully breed them? Please share your experience if you have done so.
Thanks.
Same here, only eggs but no shrimplets. I read they need brackish water to breed properly.
