what is your pH reading?
my 2ft shrimp tank is driving me crazy...
the pH level is going down everyday..
probably due to the DW and bogwood?
mainly tied with moss..
is there any ways to control the pH a bit?
Substrate: ADA Aquasoil Amazon
Filter: Eden 501
no CO2. lightings only 4-5 hours per day.

what is your pH reading?
Don't bother with the pH. ADA aquasoil + Singapore tapwater (low KH) would send the KH down perharps even to 0. You cannot measure pH with a normal pH probe or test kit with pure non-buffered water.

what should i do then?
pH measured will go down to even below 6...
currently using pH Up solution to hold the pH high..

Don't worrying about the pH and leave the tank alone. Add some floating plants like duckweeds and etc to cover about 30% of the surface water if you only have moss in the tank. They will prevent any potential NH4 spike from killing your critters. Stop doing water changes for non-CO2 type of setup. Go for 8-10hrs of light with no breaks in between. Make sure to have some surface movement as well.

ok.. thank you..
but i'm afraid if i on the lights for 8-10 hours, there might be algae problem..
currently i have 3 otos, 60+ cherry chrimps, 2 Diamond and 6 CRS in the tank...

Hi Bro, I'm worried about your shrimps and otos in the tank right now. It's too risky for me to dose the ph up or any chemicals. You should remove all of them in the tank and wait till your tank ph is stabilised. In addition to Peter's advice, try buffer up the ph by putting a small bag of crushed corals/shells in your filter tray. Good luck.
Oh yes...if you are worried about algae outbreak, you could minimise this problem by placing more nitrate-absorbing stem plants and floating plants like duckweeds and small water lettuces. Monitor your water ph frequently.
Is it a new setup? Cause ADA soil have very high nitrate initially. Thus it might be a killer for your shrimps.
God will make a way, where there seems to be no way
