i just noticed this morning that one adult cherry shrimp was dead, the body was somewhat blackened. Can't seem to find the other cherries nor the yamatos, except for malayans.
After reading this post, seems that it could be due to the new plants i introduced on Tuesday, bought from farm-mart. never had any shrimps death in my heavily planted 3 ft tank for 9 months. No such problem when plants are bought from LFS...
Guess must be the chemicals they used at the farms .....

    Question, for future prevention:
Is rinsing with just water a safe way ?
Or safer to use bleach ?

ya 1 shrimp dead probably will not be due to poisoning.
could be age related as well
