do 328 have amano driftwood for size less then 1ft ?
btw how to see if its amano driftwood ?
That is a good question. There is no way we can tell whether its the so-called amano driftwood from another except for the fact that the shape and colour is smiliar to what we have seen in the ADA pictures. Or maybe the packaging comes with the ADA brand. Do they?
At times ADA would disclose in their magazines the originating countries these woods are from. You won't be surprised these woods could be found in our neighbouring countries, eg indonesia but we are paying premium for air flight for the woods to travel from these countries to Japan then to Singapore![]()
The selection of woods in our LFS is really limited- You either get bogwoods or those dark brown driftwoods and that's all. Its a good thing now that suppliers here are beginning to bring in other woods (whatever it is) so that hobbyists' options are widen.
I am looking forward to see "Amano Rock" here![]()

You will know it's Amano driftwood by it's price!
First time seeing branded expensive driftwood. I think most of it (if not all) are longer than 1 feet.
P.S. Don't ask me about the price, go have a look or call the LFS.
juilian75 bro, nice looking tank you got there. I like the wood alot too!
Wood is nice, but yes, it does cost you your green thumb.
Many use Manzanita here in place for the smaller brachy pieces.
Larger pieces I use cedar or redwood.
I think the best option is to use the local woods.

ADA driftwood come from Malaysia btw. They get sent over by the container load so errrm.... the hint is to cross the border and come get them for a fraction of the price.![]()
Hmmm, I do however believe that the Malaysian branch wood has also come into Singapore a few times before. Thio at Biotope had some a while back.
Was at C328 one day.. Saw the driftwood, thought they priced it wrongly..
