Hi guys, what do you people usually do when you encounter such a scenario

The CO2 tank is running out of CO2, You are busy and you don't have time to refil nor DIY CO2. What do you guys do ? You can only refill like a week later ?

Do you stock up a smaller backup CO2 tank ?
Use tablet form CO2 (there's such a thing right ?)
    Or others ?

Please share, can't bear to see my Echinodoras tenellus dying slowly...

I have a spare tank which allows me to take my time to refill whenever I feel like it. Lowering the light intensity can help but a week might be just a tad too long. Anyway, you can always bring the plants back to health even after they look bad as long as they are not dead.

I think 0.8L. Care, it is of course much more expensive than a 2L.

i guess economically wise, getting a 2L tank is fair much cheaper than those really small and handy ones

A 2L or larger will give you the luxury of time to get your main cylinder filled.

i agree with Vinz's point too. You can take your time to have the empty tank refilled

If you have big tank like 6' better to get a 5L tank as the refill almost the same cost. In long run, it will be a saving to minimize the number of trips down to refill the small tank .

    Hi alll,

I don't have a spare co2 canister, so I keep occasional watch on my guages, and don't wait for it to be completely depleted before going for refill.

In case I get too busy like what samuel is describing.

Good thing I stay at Old Airport Rd, so quite near to.. yes.. you guessed it, Boon Keng - Systems and Control (Bioplast). Very fast top up, go for breakfast come back tank is filled up already.

Why not go for on-the-spot refills at Bioplast?

The CO2 tablets are reputed to be useless (there has to be a reason why you hardly see usage of them).

You stay in Hougang, can bring to Eco culture or Far east aquatic to refill.
