reallly? which tank. I'll have to take a look because they have to be kept in brackish water.

unfortunately I cannot qualify to advise on the long-term upkeep of this fish. If you can managed to make brackish water (i.e. slightly saltish) then you should be able to maintain them. They are so small I think easily 12 pieces in a betta barrack is OK. Being so small I guess you can only feed BBS (baby brineshrimp).

the premium ethanol is what I use to preserve them for eternity for the Raffles Museum of Biodiversity Research. See today's Straits Times article on the 10 new marine crabs. Those are the chaps from Raffles Museum.

that's because the type locality is destroyed, but they may occur elsewhere.

also this fish may not be P. pygmaea, no one knows for sure unless they are studied by the scientists. which means you have to buy some and feed them alcohol.

Hmm... so should stick to freshwater or keep them brackish? Damn, not much info on the husbandry of these fishes. Would be damn challenging to keep them alive long term.

Woopssy..didn't see anything that mentioned fishbase, just came across the link and hope to share around before people make decision in buying them.

But if the specimens in c328 are well fed, means they are well converted and acclimatised in freshwater already ?? Maybe the brackish condition is to encourage breeding purpose instead ?
