AQ-Biotope KL LFS and AquaFair Malaysia 2006 (+ADA workshop) Trip

AQ and Biotope LFS is co-organising a trip to Kuala Lumpur (KL) to visit the LFSes in Petaling Jaya (PJ) and AquaFair Malaysia 2006 at the KLCC.

Due to the lack of interest, the trip details will be changed. Without the benefit of numbers, we cannot confirm the rooms and transport organised by the tour agent. Instead, the trip will be reduced to a "private" trip. Essentially, there will not be a dedicated bus. AQ-Biotope will simply book seats on the regular coaches going up to KL or PJ and book rooms driect with a hotel. Extras like insurance and medical reimbursement will not be available. We will try to secure a mini-bus in PJ/KL for moving around and conduct our own tour. The itinery will also be changed, but key events like entry into AquaFair, the ADA workshop, LFS crawl should still be included. The trip will occur on the same weekend, with perhaps some slight changes. We will work out the details and post when we finalised them. Prices will also be affected.

Meanwhile, everybody is still free to sign up. Even if you cannot confirm, just express your interest, so we can plan.

The trip should start on Friday, 17th November, morning and return to Singapore on Sunday, 19th November, evening.

The trip includes free entry to AquaFair Malaysia and entry to the ADA workshop. The ADA workshop will be conducted by staff of the ADA agent in Malaysia, who were personally trained by Amano himself. In addition, all participants will receive a copy of the ADA 2006 English Catalogue.

For those who would like to bring their spouses and families, we have included time for exploring and shopping in KLCC and at Power Ikano (IKEA) and the equivalent of Pet Safari.

The cost of the trip includes:

• Travel to and from PJ by coach (Singapore registered Super VIP Cruiser),
• Hotel accomodations (including 2 breakfasts) in PJ,
• Travel around KL and PJ via same coach,
• SGD10,000 Group Insurance and SGD500 Medical Reimbursement.

Price: SGD406 (single room), SGD286 (twin share, per person)

Schedule
Day 1 (17 Nov)

1. Leave Singapore in the morning.
2. Reach PJ in the afternoon, get lunch.
3. Check in.
4. Start LFS crawl in PJ.
5. Dinner.
6. Own time.

Day 2 (18 Nov)

1. Breakfast in PJ hotel.
2. Leave for KLCC, shopping.
3. Visit Aquarium Exhibition including ADA workshop.
4. Dinner and shopping at KLCC.
5. Return to Hotel in PJ.
6. Own time.

Day 3 (19 Nov)

1. Breakfast in PJ Hotel.
2. Shopping and lunch at Power Ikano (IKEA) and Pet Safari equivalent.
3. Return to Singapore.

The trip will require 18 participants to commence. Maximum participants is 28. Sign up closing date Wednesday 25th October.

You must have an International passport with at least 6 more months of validity.

Those who are interested, please indicate your AQ username, name, how many additional people you will be bringing, and room type required. If you are coming alone, you may still specify twinshare. We will simply match you up to another participant. If you intend to twinshare with a particular member, please state.

A few parties have expressed interest to me through PM. I'll be happy to put you all in contact with each other should you wish to organise your own trip. Just let me know. I'm not sure if Biotope can still get you the freebies and show entries as originally arranged.
