Currently using 2026 at max flowrate to drive NA CO2 reactor?

I tried using this configuration, with CO2 @4~6bps. It seems that there is alot of undissolved "Gas" at the 6-8hrs, like 1~2cm of undissolved air. Wonder if its CO2 or O2 which is not dissolved.

    Anyone have encountered this before?

    I have the same setup.

The gas at the top of the reactor is CO2. It will eventually be dissolved into the water after lights out.

Need to ensure that your fauna gets enough air during lights out as this extra CO2 introduced into your tank during lights out may overwhelm your fauna.

Does this means that too much CO2 is being pumped in?

Since it cannot dissolved at that 4~6bps, might as well lower bps to ensure that the CO2 is well utilized...

Is your reactor new? If it is, it's normal. I was using this configuration when I had my 3ft planted tank.

You could shut off your co2 supply an hour before lights out.

Huh? How does it relate to a new reactor? I have been using it for the last 4 months, i suppose it is not that new anymore.

Anyway I have corrected the internal tubing design with a tapered end to ensure that the flow is maximize, so I suspect that 2026 may not be enough to drive the external reactor to dissolve CO2 completely @ 4~6bps.

Anyone tried on a 2028 with NA external reactor and have the same sympton? The difference in flowrate of 2028 is 1050l/hr whereas 2026 is 950l/hr. So I m thinking if the additional 100l/hr makes a difference.

don't worry too much of the undissolved gas.
co2 in your cylinder is not 100% co2. maybe 98~99% pure. this impurity will build up during your co2 injection period and will eventually be dissolved when co2 injection is stopped.
this is not related to na external reactor. most if not all reactors will have the same issue.

    Hmm, like Winston said,
Better check the Co2 level first...
