Sick or dying fish can't be adopted. It is better to end their suffering quickly.

Drop it into boiling water and you get hot fish soup. Drop it into freezing water and you get ..emm.. ice fish TEA??? at least you don't have to worry about the freshness of the ingredients. nutritious too. thanks for your offer. i'm strictly vegetarian.

Remember that time my camp koi pond, the leader male koi was attacked by a cat.

the side of the koi was rotting. so the messboy and me was tasked to end it's life.

    we tried:
    1) fish in net hit against wall, wont work.
    2) leave it in the sun on grass, wont work.
    3) stone drop on head, wont work.
    4) we have no choice, tie in a plastic bag, throw in rubbish bin.

not very sure about that, at least this is what the operations warrant told us. and it was the biggest sized koi in the pond.

    hi reversebungee,

should have 'kill a koi' training in NS in order to do a quick and clean job. also must learn the 'koi survival skills' so that NS men will be more formidable. imagine surviving from cat attack, ,dried under the sun, rock on head before bagged into the bin. Real solid 'commando' koi.

sure this works, just increase the dosage.

Considering you were NS men, you should've just chopped it head off. Fast and clean death for the fish. Not for you but hey, if during your shitty time in camp you can bring peace to an innocent animal, why not?

Actually i ORDed already But honestly, i had to kill a hare that'd run in front of our 5 ton and gotten it's hind legs and hips run over. Rifle butt to the head ended things quite messily but at least it was quick for the hare.

haahha! its really funny and entertaining reading this thread.
my opinion is that freezing is the most humane way to do it.
if not, then just release it.

In the arapaima tank or nowhere else. The damn luohan will destroy whatever ecosystem it's released into.

release it in any pond or reservoir near you. don't worry about the ecosystem. its won't be affected.
there are already so many foreign species in our reservoirs and ponds it will hardly make a difference.
i used to go to the reservoirs to catch fish. you'de be surprised at the stuff that i come across.

i've found so many luohan there already. not to mention zebra tiliapias, 9 bar cichlids, bublebee gobies, blue freshwater crayfish...

now theres even motoros in the reservoir. sigh... just release wherever is convenient

we know what is already in there. that doesn't mean you should add one more.
