Yup...another Moss ID :)

Two different photos of the same moss.

THis moss carpets really well. I had it growing in a 3" wide "carpet" over some 3/4" wood. It doesn't like to branch much.

For scale, that stem plant in the bottom photo is ludwigia Brevipes.

I think it looks like java moss but I cannot confirm it. I have Singapore and Taiwan growing under low light condition which also looks like this. It may look nice to see this carpet effect but since some moss are shaded from light, they might wither/turn brown underneath them so needs to trim them down a bit to prevent this.

definately no java moss. I gave some to a friend who also has experience with java, taiwan, weeping, xmas, and erect moss, and he was suprised with it's carpeting and "smallness". Neither uf us have seen anything like it. It is dainty like taiwan but without it's traingle branched fronts, and with a much more compact carpeting.

This moss found me. I just started growing one day. I would guess it is a "contamination" from another plant I got from who knows who.

Well I would say It is a form of 'Java moss' I have read that under certain conditions this moss will be very neat similar to x-mass or singapore, or tiwan moss. Most Mosses have more than one way of growing, on the other hand this could be a unknown moss .

And it is Deffinatly not GSM (green sock moss) looks nothing alike, I believe I have got some, and it is much diffrent. But I'm human and could be wrong thats why i sent it to Loh, to have IDed by Dr. Tan
