I dont believe LSZ was trying to start a flame war.
Also, i will agree with others..i think your tank is very heavily overstocked.
Also to be concerend about, not only will the Red Tail Catfish get over 4ft eventually, the tiger shovelnose wont be far off.
Another thing, you have American cichlids in there with African cichlids..the pH and hardness are wrong for one of the species as the americans prefer softer, more acidic water, and the africans prefer high pH and harder water.
I can also tell you that the time i have known LSZ i have found that he is straight to the point with other ppl too, so it is not just yourself.
This thread will not be closed. Just because we have the power to do so, dosn't mean we will.
I think that we can all learn from comments from others, and it is inevitable that some ppl will take things differently than others...it is life, people respond differently. I really dont think that LSZ meant anything personal, certainly not an "attack" of any sorts.
i believe the posts past and present, they are not personal against anything or anyone. Unless undeserved defamation is present to be defended.

btw mez i m wary of the different condition of the african and american.a yr ago,i do up a lot of reading on cichlid and decide to do the mixing.my tnk at the before mixing consist only american cichlid.my first african is frontosa and a experimenting one and it do very well for months.after actual confirmation on its suvival, that where the african step in.sometimes fact r only rock fact onli and there will be always exception in fish keeping.the mixing last for a yr but not for few days and this shows that i m not endagering them in any sense.do u know how these fishes meant to me..effort,cash and my time.they r all my PRIDE!btw my shovel nose cat havent grow even a inch since i bought it 4 mths ag, so will not be the problem so soon.as for the rtc, i will get proper housing for it.the last option will be my camp's pond cos it will be safe down there.the place is like my hse's backyard to me.....

No biggie, just some hiccups... glad that you plan to provide them w/ a better home in the near future. If 2-ft is all you can afford for now (space & money-wise), it's better than nothing. Try to get a 2-ft/3-tier, not that costly & furthermore saves space. 3-ft/3-tier even better, the ones I bought are very affordable.

I have personally met the both of you and I think the two of you are nice people so lets just put this misunderstanding aside and move on.
Forum, SMS, email and ICQ/IRC chatlines are some of the worst platforms for effective communications. Simply because one's tea could be another's poison. So for moderators or members alike, lets just be kind and impartial in our words used here.
Anyway, we are here to make new friends who are into aquarium fishes. So let us just keep it at that. Frankly, I am very happy that I am able to meet a lot of new friends from this forum, LSZ, HK, Gary and a whole lot of others and I think this is the way to go, everyone agree?

Ok... After much consideration... I have decided to tell you how it is.
Honestly speaking, you are MAJORLY overcrowding fish.
The water quality must be pretty ****ty.
The fish look stressed out and very unhappy.
I suggest strongly you get more tanks whether or not you are planning for them (I understand everyone has their limitations, but those FISH need MORE and BETTER care quick)...
No one is preaching or trying to be a "fish god"...
You claim that people are doing so because you cannot accept honest criticism.
Anyone will say nice things to you, but it will not help.
