Tubifex worms do not dig the soil like earthworms do. If you introduce them into your tank they will make your tank look ugly. They basically stay at the top layer of your substrate and sway like algae. The sight of it makes your hair stand![]()

Fatherhood - The most challenging role a man can take on but, funnily enough, the most fulfilling too.

I'm using ADA and don't know why there are earthworms inside. Anyway they are good additions to my tank. They dig all the way to the bottom of the tank so I feel relieved that toxic gases won't accumulate inside.![]()
Definitely! Once i had a potted lotus in my pond and the fertilisers added caused tubifex worms to grow. Coincidently I was breeding betta at that time and the juvs grew really fast in that pot.![]()

These are probably aquatic worms, possibly of the Oligochaeta class. Some aquatic worms closely resemble terrestrial earthworms while others can be much narrower or thread-like.
They most likely hitched a ride on the plants you bought.
