the manual shld state what is included in the box, I think becoz its a older model therefore, doesnt come with them
hi..i just brought my 2217 but found out dat it does not cum with the double tap dat fix 2 the water inler and outlet ...so i wondering does it cum with the box or i have 2 buy extra 4 it ...thanks...

ben, this issue was brought up by a forumer b4.. when i bought a 2213, the box mentioned that it is included but the auntie in petmart told me that it is only available for US market.. on the other hand, IMHO, me thinking that some of these distributors are trying to pull a fast one on us, aquarists by making us pay extra for something that is already part of the deal... sigh..

Normally watever is in the packing list should be supplied together with the filter. When I bought my Eheim 2028, the taps wasn't in the packing list so I had to get my own.
can u imagine.. for every filter u buys and get a set of the valves, u have to pay additional $30.. wah cau..it is a rip off..

$30-40 for a pair of 12/16mm valve

aiy? thought 2028 comes in complete set? mine did! and so did my 2026! hmm...
when i got my 3ft tank in march (ordered from ben/tb), it came with cabinet, light and a 2217 WITH valves included. i noticed a sticker on the box stating that it's a "promotion" or something.
when i got my 2ft in april (ordered from a then-new lfs), it came with cabinet, light and a 2213 - no valves. but after a long long story, the lfs gave them to me.
thereafter, i noticed something when i was at K&K and then QianHu. Something (stickers stating "free valves?quothave been torned or cut out from the boxes!!!

what can we do?argue wiht the shop owner...btw can also do without the valve but quite messy loh.btw since we r forking out the money to buy ex filter, why bother with $30?although i m saying this but i still making noise about the $30 i spent on my valves..[]

i think it is a ethical issue here.. IMHO, they are ripping us off.. they know that Eheim stuff are worth some $$$.. sigh.. especially to those with love affairs with Eheim products.. sigh..
