when I observe my 2ft tank for 1/2hr just now..

1st problem-Find alot of 'thread looking white worms' under my black quartz gravel..what is that actually? I find it rather disgusting.

2nd problem-Suspect BBA or either water caterpillar at windelov, it is those tiny black spiky but not sure whether they moves a not..

3rd problem-Spotted some GSA on my tank..is it a good sign or bad sign? By the way my tank lighting is PL 36watt on for 10hrs daily. Dose liquid fert every alt days..

Thanks everyone for giving me advise in advance..

Hey there, must have missed your thread.

    1) You might have planaria.
    2) Do they look like:

If so, that's BBA and the solution can be found on the forums, repeated ad nauseam.
    3) Green spot is normal in CO2 enriched tanks, the growth can be hampered by good levels of phosphate in your tank. I've always dosed KH2PO4 and I've not seen obvious GSA anywhere in my tank.

Hi squee, hmmm but I running on low-tech so I dont think is BBA & the pics you provided dosen't look like the same, so again I suspect is some stupid caterpillar & from what I know planaria is pink to red in colour but this worm in my tank is totally white & very thin like thread..& lastly as I said my tank is a low-tech so I didn't even inject co2 but I still hit by GSA.. thanks for answering me..

    Your tank is non-CO2? Hmm..
I have a 2ft non-CO2 right now too in its 3rd week of operation.

I suggest you do a big cleanup, change 50% of the water, increase plant mass and stop feeding for a while (planaria = overfeeding if I'm not wrong).

You're doing it the Tom Barr way?

No space for more plants? Then do a cleanup change water and feed less! How heavy is your bioload?

Bioload consist of 15 neon tetra, 7 rummy nose, 7 neon black tetra, 4 bee shrimps, 9 cherries, 10 crs. Is this consider high bioload? anyway I have decide to feed less.

Hmmm I see, just did a 40% water change & have scrap off the GSA. Everything is clear now but will see what will happen for the past few days or weeks..hope GSA will not bounce back again..
