    who is Steven Irwin?
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Crocodile man killed by stingray.... Sad...I'm sure he didn't want to go this way.

Anyway, I'm sure he will be sorely missed by his fans around the globe.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

the one who runs around and talks very fast? I am more of a fan of the "traditional" voice-over style of documentaries.

Steve Irwin. Not Steven. AKA Crocodile Hunter.

News is thin at the moment, but confirmed. All that is said is that he was diving for a documentary filming and got stung on the chest by a stingray.

Real tragic. From one of his "making of..." of one of his movies, I get the impression that a lot of contigency planning and precautions go into his filming. I really wonder if this was a freak accident or he just got too close this time.

Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

Just a thought, being underwater, our's reflexes probably gets slowed down quite abit, unlike on land, there's no chances of jumping clear when the unexpected thing happens.

I don't think it is common for people to be killed by rays... very unfornunate indeed.

OMG, very sad to hear about this. I'd figure he'd lose an arm or something to a croc, but never thought that a stingray would take him out instead.
