JBJ CO2 Regulator

Hi,

I have refill an empty tank yesterday, and now it is leaking. I manage to identify where the leak was. It is leaking at the two small holes in front of the regulator. Just below the two gauges, there is a head with the JBB label sticker on it, and on this bolt head there are two very small holes. It is leaking from there.

How to fix it? I remember some of my old regulator had oil even comnig from this holes I THINK (NOt sure).

Should i put some oil inside the two holes? Does it mean my regulator is spoilt already?

Urgent help needed. I do not wnat to bring back to NA for servicing if i can fix it myself with your advice.

what is the pressure reading on the gauges?
is the cylinder pressure much greater than 1000psi? if yes, try relieve some "excess" pressure by detaching the regulator and opening the main valve for a few seconds.

it is 1100, as usual. But even say this is due to excess, then when it drops to say 900-1000, it should stop right!.. it will leaks till it shows 0 in the main gauge.

I dont see why putting oil would help, it's better to let NA repair it. After all it a high pressure system, safely come first.

why not give NA a call first for advise before heading down. maybe your problem can be solved over the phone.
my hunch is that the regulator is and needs to be replaced.

may be the pressure relief valve has 'popped' or damaged.

Somes there are some which are faulty. it was still under warranty, so Mr Chan change it for me for free. I was not there, I am not sure if he changed the whole regulator, or just the head of the regulator.

Now i was testing my JBJ solenoid (my own - the other one mentioned in thread above does not belong to me) and to my surprise, I discover the same problem. Co2 air leaking from the 2 small holes on the regulator. PSI goes to zero after 24 hours. Anyone else facing a similar problem? Wow 2 JBJ regulator broke like that man! :boo Since the other jbj was under warranty, i did not pay anything. BUt for this one (bought 2005), anyone has any idea how much i will pay? kindly pm, or post rough amount here.

Bro your feedback is making me nervous cos i bought my JBJ not long ago. So far no problems leh. I heard that this brand is quite good thats why bought it, would be good to hear feedback from the rest of the guys who owns this brand.
One thing about it that piss me off was the parallel metal socket cannot be inserted into the pug cos one of the parallel metal socket is abit bigger/rounder at the front part. Which means you have to file it to make it "flat". Heard that the new batches are all like that. Really stupid design!

I did test again on my tank. I tried to tape the two holes and tie with string. After 12 hours, PSI drop from 1000 to 800. I am still waiting. If the drops is stable (from 1000 to 800), I think I will not send for repairs (depending on how much it costs to be fixed).

Any updates on this?
I got a co2 splitter recently, and fixed it myself.
Shortly after I found the pressure to be around 300 PSI. Toped it up on Sunday, it was 1100, now it is about 600.

I check AQ and discovered this thread. Guess what? CO2 is leaking from the 2 small holes for me as well.

How to fix it?

Put soap water and verify the leak. I am not a DIY person. But I will bring the problematic parts to Chan of NA, opposite Thomson Medical. He charges $5-10 for labour, and the rest for parts.
