    Hi All,

Intend to setup a low tech tank in my office... but boss fears fire risks (dun ask) from electircal appliances...

    so...

I have to do something with just tank, plants and fauna... any suggestions or comments of whether this is doable?
Oh... BTW, my office is a chilling 23 Degrees... Only Perimeter I know right now...

And if so... how do I determine how much light my office is providing?

    Thanks,
    Jason Lee

    no lighting? maybe just moss.

your temperature looks ideal for moss. Low requirement plant too

agree. I used to have a moss tank (betta barrack) with just shrimps and a pair of dwarf pencilfish to take care of hair algae on the moss. temperature is 20C and the moss grows lush! only a small table lamp for viewing.

hwchoy is right, no light and filter will severely reduce your choice of flora and fauna . Looks like you can only have moss plus a small number of shrimps like cherries.

A moss tank is the best... Got no filter also should have no problem as long as low bioload...

    Hi Guys,

    Thanks. Points noted.

I guess the type and number of fauna in the tank depends on what the size of the tank is also right?

Say a 20cm Cube... What can I keep in there for fauna?

Is there really no other plant I can keep? How about Fissidens?

    Thanks,
    Jason

Given the limitations, the plants grwoth would be extremely slow. So would suggest get those mosses which flourished on wood/rock/mesh and decor your tank.
