I have a theory about an auto continous water changer system.

This system simply is an continous measured outflow from your fish tank (into a drainage system) and a continous measured inflow (pre filtered to remove the bad stuff) into your system.

So lets say you want to change 14 litres of water a week, the system removes 2 litres a day and the inflow drips 2 litres of water into the tank.

Do you think there would be any problems with it?

Fantasizing about when I get my new flat and tank...
so I'll never carry buckets again...

The usual flaw: a "controlled outflow" is fine as long as it works. In case of failure it will, worst case, set your flat underwater. There's a much simpler solution: An overflow. When fresh water is pumped in (at any rate whatsoever) the exact same amount of water will flow over (and can be caught and transported away by ferrets or pixies or something else ... or just go down a drain). Fish stores use this principle for ages.
