Hi. My first try on this monster sized tank.
took a deep breath and go for it. From a 2Ft to a 6Ft.
Here's to share. Please do comment. Love to improve on it.

Its only 1 day old. intending to let the HG settle then trim it abit, and put in some 50 cardinals. then when all is settle. i'll add in some moss to finish up the looks. meanwhile this is the bare part.

Quite impressive, however have smaller rocks to spread around the bigger rocks, especially on the slope also helps to prevent the sand from moving.

I think 100 or more cardinals would be nice.

I like how it's set up, but the rocks are way too small for the tank.

P.S. This is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

Hmmm, agree with Brianclaw. Perhaps just one really big one to be the point of focus. Should be about 50% bigger than the biggest one now.

actually i wanted to. But i went to nature at thompson and hmmm another in chong pang.. cannot find. the biggest there is le.

But i do found one at a particular farm at lor halus. cost like $8 per kilo. o.O!!!
so i just make a do what i have. i let the plants settle first
then see how. Small stones will come in soon with moss

    advice noted and appreaciated.
    thanks.

Yea..agree with the rest, the rocks are way too small..in the long run the plants will over grow over the rocks and then you will lose the initial scape..

haha its gonna be quite difficult to get big enuff rocks that are suitable for your tank size at the average lfs.
hell man... thinking of a rock size that suits 6ft...carry back so bloody heavy also.

You can use more sand to raise the rocks up higher and more prominate. Make taller hills with the sand and use some smaller flat rocks to terrace the slope and keep it in place.

Also, you might consider a different layout grouping with the stones, one much larger and the other smaller.

They are pretty equal and that general does not "feel right".
I collect most of the rocks I use locally or go to a landscaping place that sells rocks, dirt, sand etc, might be harder to find such a place in SG though.

Hmmm, just noticed the rocks are not the same colour. IMHO this should be avoided unless the plants/GSA will cover them later.

Have you considered making your own 'rock' using resin, colouring and abit of your own artistic talent. It is lighter on the weight and you can sculpt it to your ideal, beside its for asthetics.
