just curious, are you keeping all these shrimps in the same tank?

No, the tiger shrimps + cherry + red rhino in one mini plastic tank (20cm x 10cm x 12cm) and CRS + diamond + unknown orange shrimp are in another 20cm x 10cm x 12cm mini plastic tank. These two mini tank are next to each other.

There is no cooling fan as I kept these two mini tanks in my office... The temperature is about 25 deg.

Hi guys, thanks for viewing, glad that you like those pictures. I was using the camera from my colleague (Cannon D20) to take these pictures. hence pictures quality is good.

I just bought a Lumix FZ 7 and taken some shots (using macro lens) from the same "shrimps model". You can see the difference in picture quality...

Seems like you using a pretty high ISO from the grainy pictures...
You used the same aperture and shutter setting as that used on the Canon 20D? Btw, it is spelt as Canon and not Cannon.

Seems like it is due insufficient lighting on the subject causing the camera to go out of focus (OOF).

    Oops...pai sei Should be Canon...

    For Canon 20D:
    Shutter speed: 1/160 sec
    Aperture: 16
    Exposure mode: Manual
    Flash: External E-TTL
    Flash EF guide number: 2047.97
    Metering mode: Evaluative
    Drive mode: Continuous: frame 1
    ISO: 400
    Lens: 100mm
    Focal length: 100mm

    For Lumix FZ 7:
    Shutter speed: 1/160 sec
    Aperture: 8
    Exposure mode: Manual
    Flash: Auto + Red-eye reduction
    Metering mode: Multi-segment
    ISO: 100
    Focal length: 72mm
Focal length: 432mm (in 35mm film)

The problem for poor quality pictures is because I'm using cheap closeup filter (HOYA), thus can see the distortion at corners. Not enough lighting is another problem...
