    hihi....

Initially when I saw the plant in LFS, I didn't know it's name and attracted to its size. My small 1ft tank uses just gravel. I'm not sure how to plant the HC.... but I separated it and use tweezer one by one chuck into the gravel... it does hold firmly.... but few sure got floated out and I have to re-plant them... few days later, the HC seem to have been "burn", looks like shrinking and side turning dark brown... is HC difficult to plant?

    Yes.
HC is very difficult because the roots are so short and the plant is sooo tiny.

    How I did it.

Snip HC into very small individual portions about 1cm square.

Then using tweezers, push them into the gravel.

This is going to be difficult cos HC's roots are so short, so you may have to bury some parts of the plant.

Wait and see, in a while if plant is fertilized and co2 and lighting is sufficient, it would start spreading.

But do try to avoid disturbing the gravel, because the darn HC floats up!

In fact, I plant the same way as you as well. You might have gotten in emersed form, so the leaves are turning brown and smaller submersed leaves have grown. Have some patience and make sure nitrates and light and CO2 is present. Enjoy the waiting!

    Cheers!
