Standard EI Dosing Calculations
Based on http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/art_p...osage_calc.htm
If I follow this dosing pattern:
40-60 Gallon Aquariums
+/- 1/2 tsp KN03 3x a week
+/- 1/8 tsp KH2P04 3x a week
+/- 1/8 tsp K2S04 3x a week
+/- 1/8 (10ml) Trace Elements 3x a week
50% weekly water change
Then I am dosing 1.5 tsp of KNO3 a week which if using 1 ml as the amount of water to mix it would say I am adding 9.07ppm Nitrate each dose (27.21ppm in the week)
and I am dosing 3/8 tsp of KH2PO4 a week which if using 1 ml as the amount of water to mix it would say I am adding 2.21ppm Phosphate each dose (6.64ppm in the week)
and my Potassium from the 1.5 tsp of KNO3 a week which if using 1 ml as the amount of water to mix it would say I am adding 5.73ppm Potassium each dose (17.18ppm in the week)
wouldn't that mean that my Phosphate level is way too high based on EI target ranges:
CO2 range 20-30 ppm
NO3 range 5-30 ppm (I'm 9.07ppm Nitrate each dose 27.21ppm /week)
K+ range 10-30 ppm (I'm 5.73ppm Potassium each dose 17.18ppm /week)
PO4 range 1.0-2.0 ppm (I'm 2.21ppm Phosphate each dose 6.64ppm /week)
Thanks
Thomas
