If you are setting up a planted tank, Eheim 2026 is good enough.

personally i love overfiltration.. so i would go with a 2028.. if you wanna upgrade tank in the future.. dont have to change filter..

You can control the current being tilting the rainbar to face the back of the tank at 45degs or use the build-in flow control valve to reduce the flow rate... If you are using a reactor (internal/external), the flow rate will be automatically further reduced...

Plus, if you add in a chiller in future, it is again further reduced... After you pack you canister filter with alot of fine wool and all the media, it is again reduced...

So from a 2026 flow rate, you probably get a 2213 kind of flowrate... Please if you have lots of plants, you will have dead spots, so high flow rate ensures that you can get water to flow in a specific way if you place your rainbar correct at a high flow rate...

yup.. everything is okay..it all depends on how you direct the flow..
