    Hi,

I'm no expert and am new in this hobby too. But the auntie at one of the LFS once told me that it is because of too much light when i ask her. Do not know if that is the cause, can any expert here verifiy please?

    Cheers

Try using less light, and then after that try lowering the duration of the light hours. Chances are, the algae is still there

It's most probably Black Beard Algae (BBA). Search the algae forum for information on BBA. It's been covered extensively.

In a nutshell it's most probably not light, but improper injection of CO2.
