I'm out of TMG, so now I am surviving on KNO3 powder form to make sure the plants do well. But growth has been mighty slow. Glosso after 3 months hasn't even covered half of the front.

Was reading all the past post, seems like the response to this one is good. I got only enough money to buy one fert. So should I go with dennerle gold?

    Let ye hear thy testimonies!

I think NA will not sell below retail price. You might be able to bargain at C328.

So how well does it work? Very well?

Anyway, how much should I be expecting should I bargain? As in how cheap is cheap?

I thought Gold7 is a growth enhancing agent, not a fert right?

go to Nature, and smile really really hard at Chan.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

pf7 isn't a fert, more like plant hormones that stimulate growth
you will still need to add fert, if not = LPPL
why don't you get a cheap fert like tetra florapride and THEN add some pf7?

  11. #11
Aiyoh... now you say. I was reading the slip of paper that came with it too. Thanks for the confirmation DEA, had the impression from what I read that I'd still need to fert.

Anyway, i got a bottle of 20 for $15, bargained down from $16, wasn't in a bargaining mood since rushing. How's the price?

You think I can survive on my KNO3 powder? Or I should get some fert solution?

i dunno about the price, heah
i got mine a long time ago before the price hike by dennerle, so i can't comment

but the way i use K is as an 'extra' supplement
in addition to my normal fert
what i would recommend, is get a cheap fert (azoo, tetra, all will do equally well) and THEN add more K (preferably not no3, see if you can get k2so4 instead ^ ___ ^) as well as pf7

Har.... I didn't know people know me as Heah other than Simon. Thanks DEA for the advise, will go hunting for one liquid fert soon.

Anyway, just for information only, what I add in my tank now is
    KNO3
    dennerle gold
root monsters but the free form ones, that means they come in small mini balls.

where u get the small miniballs from? or you just break up the big ones? i've been looking for a small substitute to the hortitabs as they can get hard to push into the gravel

  15. #15
I got it from aquamart. The boss down there was recommending it to me asa solution to my java fern growing too slowly.

But why would you want it free form? Not easy to push individual pieces into the gravel. But of course, for plants like MM, just sprinkle it on and make sure it goes deep into the plant mass.

By the way, I got the free form a long time ago, I just went there on sat looking for it, it wasn't selling.
