Yes! very attractive, but echinodoras grow quite big right?
What species or variety of Echinodoras is this?
Azmi, Eco Culture, says it is E.ruben in high light. Someone say it might be a 'Red Diamond'... So, what is it? It sure is attractive...![]()

this is e. rubin narrow leaves, with big leaves plucked off, and left floating with MH.

Well, I think the 'Rubin' variety does not grow too big... I used to have a E.rubin that stays very low and never grows big... And with such an attractive leave pattern...

Actually Thomas they both grow big in optimum conditions. Around 20 inches diameter or more. This was a surprise to me to when i saw it at 88Petsmart in KL as had I kept both before but my Rubin narrow stayed small at 8" diameter and the Red Rubin was 20"+ diameter.

I have seen some specimen growing to 1.5 to 2ft in height
yeah, from Aquamart (previous tropica distributor)
I used to have an E Rubin of 7 years in my 3by 1.5 by 2(depth) footer. Basically, it took up the entire tank and it was hard to create a scape that can blend with it unless my tank can get bigger!
Cheers!
