    Hi folks,

    Would like to find out what species of apistos you guys are busy breeding currently....
    (Breeding as in got babies now)


    For me its Ap. Cacatuoides "Triple Red"

    Mmm... seems like everybody is keeping mum about it.
    Ok, I keeping Ap. Elizabethae and Ap. Diplotaenia, but however not breeding yet. So what fries are you looking out for?

    Well.... I would love to get started, but don't have the luxury of time. Shame.

    I do have a trio of Nannacara anomala that I'm watching closely. Ok. Ok. They are not from the Apistogramma genus, but they are still dwarf cichlids.

    I am breeding Ap Agassizii.....so far this is the 3rd female that i am trying... looking good so far (the way i define that is the both are still alive and swimming around happily)
    I am into Plecos now...

    Wilson: thanks for heating up the thread a little, i'm sure your little ones will breed soon under your extensive care...!!

    Benny: Hey great stuff you've got there!!! Keep us updated on their progress, they are very unique and interesting dwarf cichlid to keep and breed as well....

    Wonder what happened to the other guys who's having apistos in their tanks....Maybe can edit the thread to: What apistos are you keeping now?

    Wow! Thats fast job benny!! I'm sure there are lots more folks out there who are quietly keeping exotic apistos in their tanks!!!

    Wilson: so better faster breed now so that when school starts, the fries are on their own already!!

    4. Ap.Cacatuoides -2 forms
      1. double red wild mix
      2. yellow/gold orange flash
    5. Ap. cruzi
    6. Ap. eunotus (tailstripes) 15-20 fry
    7. Ap. gephyra
    8. Ap. gibbiceps (male only)
      {8}Ap. hippolytae
    9. Ap.hongsloi - 2 forms (males only)
      1. hongsloi II
      2. wild
    10. Ap. inca (male)
    11. Ap. nijsseni
    12. Ap. panduro 15 fry
    13. Ap. pebas (morado) 15 juvies 40 fry
    14. Ap. cf pertensis
    15. Ap. steindachnerii
    16. Ap. trifasciata (females only)


    Non Apistos
    1. N. anomalla 30 juvies
    2. N. taenia 40 juvies
    3. T. candidi
    4. German blue rams - 25 juveniles


    EDIT: Noteo not use 'N.' and 'T.' for the first time, use the full genus name for the first mention.

    All have bred but not all have been successful spawnings (freeswimming fry) what I call succesful any way. I have lost mates to some of mine and I am currently looking for mates for them.

    Oh my god.....thats a wholesome lists of apistos you've got there mate!!! Do you have a fish room? would love to see any pictures you have!!!

    ps. where's the rest of the brothers with apistos swimming in their tanks?

    I only got 1 pair of Ap. bitaeniata 'shushupi', waiting for another pair to arrive on sunday and lastly a pair of ap bitaeniate 'orange'

    Thanks Cacatuoides I have some pics of my apistos some good some not. Lost use of a camera when it went kaput so no recent pics http://www.photobucket.com/albums/y74/mematrix/ there are 5 albums total including first one tryied to keep most apisto pics in apistogramma album. Man I wish I could get A.bitaeniatas here in US more redily and a some others bits are one of my vavs.
