Heard that solenoid whcih come with the UP regulator is not very lasting. I use it for less than 1 year and now it is faulty. Wondering should I replace with the same original solenoid or sourcing for other more reliable type? Please recommend is there a direct subsitution? Thanks.

iirc, that time u posted about this same solenoid, it was mentioned that it does not work like the rest of the normal solenoids
so i think you'd be better off replacing the entire valve unit with those replacements like dennerle, bioplast etc

Replacing the entire valve unit? Including the regulators? In another word, you mean change the whole thing? Please enlighten. Thanks.

BTW, anyone could advise where could I get the Dennerle or Boiplast Co2 spare parts? Maybe, I could ask if those parts could fit into the UP's regulator? Thanks.

you better bring down the entire regulator + solenoid down to either nature or bioplast, let them take a look
if your regulator is the standard 2 stage regulator it should be no problem to remove the solenoid and valve, and attach a new one to the regulator

Yes, mine is the two stages regulator. Anyway, the shop which I have purchased from willing to change and replace a new solenoid for me. But, in future if it damage again, I will take the whole thing and hope I could find the alternative substitude. Thanks.

BTW, heard that the solenoid came with the UP is not very lasting...worse the new batch only last about 4 to 6 mths. Anyone could confirm? Thanks.

To on/off the injection of the CO2 as and when you like thru a timer.

    Aquaman,
The solenoid functions as a actuator to switch the valve open/close electricaly. Normally it is controled by a timer so daily switching will be constant. If anyone were to get a regulator, I would strongly suggest to get one with solenoid.

    AnA,
For a solenoid that last a whole year can consider to be quite good. Poor quality solenoid most last for 6 months. If you need to replace solenoid, FESTO has some good quality ones which are relatively chaep at around $20. But you have to bring the regulator down together to make sure it fits.

    DEA,
May I know why did you suggest AnA should change the regulator. Sorry, I'm not aware of the history of this particular regulator. Care to enlighten.....
    Cheers!!
