Interesting piece of innovation. Question is... does it work?

For those who are unfamiliar with them, they are huge, decorative painted foam structures that have to be glued in using silicone.

They are carved into shapes and are suitable for most tank dimensions. They can also make bespoke sizes.

One of the unique features, apart from the looks, is that some models are meant to filter your tank as well, meaning that you do away with standard filtration methods and instead use your decoration to filter.

You connect them to an airpump via standard airline, and the bubbles are said to create flow through the sponge.

I like the idea, but I wonder about the practicality. Surely the media will clog in time. How can it be washed if it can't be removed.

Sounds like a nicer looking piece of sponge filter to me...
