    6. Plant: Java Fern and Moss(will add other plant later)

    8. Other( cant figure out)
My qn is wat subtract do I need(base+gravel) and to start do I place the base first than follow by plant than gravel lastly add water(do I need anti chlorine). Is it OK if I use water from other fish tank. Meantime this are some of the qn will add up when I find difficulty

You can choose different types. First you have to decide if you want base fertiliser or not. Base fertiliser acts as a backup for nutrients that are missing in the water column.

Put the base fertiliser first, followed by "dirt" or mulm from another established tank. If you can't find this, then bottled bacteria sold in the shops will do.

After that lay down the gravel. This gravel can be aquarium sand, or ADA Aquasoil, depending on your preference.

Yes, you can use water from another fish tank. This can help speed up your cycling. Plant very heavily on day one.

Thank bro for the input. Can please elaborate wat is mulm, sorry my first time into planted. Do I plant before gravel or the other way round. My previous aquarium was a fish only aquarium. The bottle bacteria mention issit the same as the one use for cycling tank.

Mulm is the black coloured "shit" that you find inside an old filter when you open it up. They hold bacteria, and adding those to your substrate will kick start the cycling process.

After finishing the substrate setup, fill water up to half the tank and start planting. The water will help in your planting process. There is another method: you fill water up to the substrate level, then plant in low lying plants like foreground plants/moss. After that, fill up to half tank level and plant in your stemmed plants/medium height plants. After that, fill all the way and finish. Filling water should be very gently done, especially if you used base fertiliser. If you turn on the tap too forcefully, the base fertiliser will be messed up and your tank will be a brownish mess.

Yeap, the bottled bacteria is the same as the one used for cycling new tanks, like Seachem Stability, or any of those bottles that add beneficial bacteria to your tank.

Also read up the stickies in this forum if you haven't done so like this one. Reading more = better setup experience

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
