    Hi,

Just got 13 cherry shrimps from ecoculture. They are rather small but hope they breed soon...Thinking of getting bigger ones around serangoon north..

    Heres my tank set-up:

I made some minor changes today but the picture was taken yestarday..Now the pile of stone is removed and the moss is tied to a piece of wood.

Does anyone know a website about breeding cherry shrimps and rearing their shrimpets?Petshrimp.com doesnt give much info..

    Thanks

200pieces. you don't need to buy much. cherries breed very fast. you may like to add more moss to your tank. they love moss.

I'm wondering if 200pieces of shrimps will overload a 30x20x20cm tank?

I got more than that in my tank of the same size as yours.. I get a strong filter with the inlet covered...

Wow . I'm going to try that. BTW, what do you use to cover the inlet? Does it require frequent change?

yeah, what do you use to cover the inlet? I used sponge before but it clog very fast. Now I'm using fish net.

The cover for the inlet to prevent shrimps & shrimplets from being sucked into the filter...

He posted that he is using a strong filter so it might be powerful enough to suck the shrimp in...

I'm using the coarse filter wool for the same reasons...

A stronger filter would be able to filter through the whole tank faster but risk sucking shrimp in...

    I'm using a 1000L/hr & a 450L/hr Canister Filter on my 03 ft...

    Circular but coarser filter media

I uses those circular but much coarser filter media... the dirts will get suck in while the shrimplet will not be suck (unless they are just the size of dirts) I try using the finer version, more strain on the filter.. you can see slower flow output of water.. I personally felt the coarse filter media is much better.
