24 hours of rainfall caused the worst flood in Johor state of Malaysia!!!

It is highest rainfall in 100 years !!!

According to the star : "Nearly 30,000 people have been evacuated in Johor following the extraordinary heavy rainfall over the past three days, Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman said.

He said this year's monsoon season has been very unusual, as it had brought floods to Johor instead of the eastern and northern states. "

Maybe can catch betta persephone inside the bathroom. When I was young, sometimes when there is a flood, I could catch channa or gourami at the car porch.

    erm… frogs are not reptiles.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

when I was in Ratchaburi province of Thailand, don't even need a flood to find snakes in the bathroom and crabs in the toilet bowl (note to men with long dong, look before you squat!)

started raining seriously again yesterday, still on and off. mostly we don't have flood problem in Singapore except when the high tide is in, then its nuts because there is nowhere for the water to drain to. plus some landslides due to heavy rain softening the soil causing the trees to topple with the heavy waterload.

I was driving back yesterday from Malacca back to Singapore on the North -South Highway and it was raining all the way.

Along the way on both side of the road, i can see houses, school, shopes flood till 3/4 of the normal height, river were flood, land was gone, plantation was gone....a very sad scene!

Patrol and emergency crew vehicles was on every part of the highway warning passing cars to slow down their speed while apporaching increase waters....

I can feel the MPV i drove shifting to the side even when i try to drive straight. i can also see ripples of the muddy water....scary....

People on our part of the earth rarely encounter this kind of major disaster and we can only see this in TV else where in far away continent. But this instant it was real.....

Let's hope the all the Malaysian folks that are affected could brave on and the rain to stop asap and life can return back to normal.
