Any recommendations of (nice looking) racks similar to IKEA's IVAR and also sturdy enough for my needs?

    Thanks.
There's another pine wood shelving unit that looks like ivar but can hold much heavier weight than ivar (can't remember the name). Get that one but remember to use a few coatings of laquer to protect the wood as it's going to be wet when you change water. Forget about the Agerum bookcase cos it's very likely made of compressed wood wrapped with birch veneer. Norrebo shelving unit is a good alternative cos it's made of solid birch/pine wood. The only setback is the height of each shelf is fixed.

Plse note : Ikea makes most products using just enough materials to serve the function that that product was intended for, no more no less - just the right amount of material. So DON'T "ABUSE" the product or you'll end up telling your friends that ikea product is lousy because very easy spoil.

    That set should be Gorm
It is rated at 70kg max and I've used it to hold my 3ft tank for 2.5yrs with no problem. Was thinking of other alternatives. If no choice, I'll use it again, but I don't like the wide corner posts.

I used a few Ivar and Gorm racks ranging from 1 - 2.5yrs but my water level was never more than 8 inches high without problems for Ivar. I recommend Ivar between these 2.
