    Hi,

I'm using an Undergravel Filter + oxygen pump as my main filter. Problem is the bubbles get trap under the filter and it goes out in one burst in 5-10 secs interval. So it produces really BIG bubbles which uproots some of my plants. Anyone knows how to solve this problem?

    Thanks.

Open up the plastic tube which your airstone is located. You will see the airstone connected to a tube. Cut the tube so that the airstone is about one inch above the substrate. The problem should be solved.

However, if you use under gravel filtration, you will not be able to use base fertilizer effectively. Do take note.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
